Does Charlotte Outdoor Kitchens  sell the grills to homeowners and contractors?

How much does an outdoor kitchen cost in Charlotte, NC?
Expect to pay between $1200 - $2000 a linear foot for a custom outdoor kitchen island. Several factors such as length, appliances, utilities, veneer and counter all play an important part of the total cost. Basic grill islands start lower, while fully equipped outdoor kitchens with refrigeration, sinks, lighting, pergolas, and fireplaces are a larger investment.
Every project we design in Charlotte is custom-built to match the homeowner’s space, lifestyle, and budget.

What areas do you serve in the Charlotte region?
We provide custom outdoor kitchen design and installation across the greater Charlotte area, including Monroe, Waxhaw, Weddington, Indian Trail, Huntersville, Concord and Union County. We also service some of the South Carolina cities such as Fort Mill, Lancaster, Van Wyck, Indian Land & Rock Hill.

How long does it take to build an outdoor kitchen in the Charlotte area?
This all depends on several factors. The size of the island and amount of components can vary between projects. In addition, things such as permitting, inspections, utility installations, granite template/installation can all prolong the amount of time needed to complete your outdoor kitchen. Most average sized outdoor kitchen projects take anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 weeks.

What materials are my outdoor kitchen made from?
The majority of our kitchen islands are made from a welded, galvanized metal or aluminum frame with a non-combustible concrete board that is screwed to the frame. We also build with masonry block or brick and 95% of our counter installations are granite or quartzite.

What appliances can I include in my Charlotte outdoor kitchen?
We can include the following appliances:
Built-in gas or charcoal grills
Kamado-style cookers like Big Green Egg
Premium grill brands such as Lynx Grills and Napoleon
Outdoor refrigerators & beverage centers
Ice makers
Sinks with hot and cold water
Pizza ovens
Side burners and power burners

Every outdoor kitchen in Charlotte is customized to how you cook and entertain.

Can I use my outdoor kitchen year-round in North Carolina?
Yes! Charlotte's temperate climate makes outdoor living ideal for year-round use. We use durable, weather-resistant materials like granite, stone, and stainless steel designed to withstand local humidity and seasonal shifts.

Do I need a permit for our outdoor kitchen?
Many counties will require an accessory structure permit for an outdoor kitchen. If your county requires a permit, we will handle all of the paperwork.
Gas, electrical and plumbing installations are always going to require a permit and inspections. Charlotte Outdoor Kitchens always uses licensed, bonded and insured contractors to run all utility lines.
In the event that your outdoor kitchen is going to be under a covered roof structure (pergola, pavilion, covered porch, etc.), there is a high probability that you will need a vent hood over all gas appliances. This is county/ city code based on the manufacturers recommended installation instructions. Charlotte Outdoor Kitchens will not build any outdoor kitchen islands that circumvent any applicable codes/ inspections.
